Joint seminar with Smallfry and Wright Hassall – “Maximising your ROI from a good idea”Posted on
Barker Brettell has teamed up with Smallfry and Wright Hassall for a joint event – a free-to-attend breakfast seminar entitled “Maximising your ROI from a good idea” – taking place from 8.30am to 10am on Friday 24 May at Smallfry’s offices near Coventry. The seminar is intended to help local businesses and entrepreneurs look at how good design can transform an innovative idea into a market-leading product and how to stay ahead of the pack.
Steve May-Russell of Smallfry, a Warwickshire-based industrial design firm, will explain how to choose the right product to commercialise and the role of design in creating a market-leading product.
Nick Braddon will provide expert advice on how obtaining legal protection for your innovative product designs can help preserve your competitive advantage.
Pete Maguire of Wright Hassall, a leading Midlands legal practice, will share best practice on how contracts can easily be used to protect intellectual property, preserving competitive advantage and helping you maximise opportunities while minimising risks.
Further information about the event can be found here. To register your interest in attending this event, please email Liz@smallfry.com stating your name, organisation and details for any additional delegates. Please note that spaces are limited and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The last breakfast seminar we organised with Smallfry was a great success. Over 40 delegates from across the region attended the event, which was hosted at our Birmingham office. Feedback was extremely positive:-
Lawrence Davis of Green Planet UK Ltd said “Very good talk indeed and I met several very useful contacts – well worth attending”.
Luke Porter, CEO of Rebound Box, a company making football training aids, said “I learned a lot for my next generation product and wish I had this level of proactive advice from all my advisors. Two hours well spent”.
John Lawrence, Senior Partner of Barker Brettell LLP commented “The turnout in Birmingham was fantastic and we were able to speak with many people about their innovative ideas, while providing them with the expert advice they needed. The presentations were excellent and the feedback has been hugely positive – I am glad Smallfry were able to help us to help our clients in this way, adding even more value to the service we provide”.
