BB Girls – Race for Life
Posted onA Team from Barker Brettell dusted off their running shoes to take part in the annual charity event Race for Life raising money for Cancer Research UK.
The event took place in July at Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham and the team were well prepared having trained for several weeks prior to the race. On a lovely sunny day the team all completed the task cheered on by friends and family and raised over £1,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Strongly supported by the partners and staff at Barker Brettell, Kath Nickless, who organised The BB Girls said:
“We were delighted to take part in Race for Life this year. Cancer affects so many of us and we were delighted to be able to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause. The BB Girls would like to thank the partners and staff at Barker Brettell, and friends and family who sponsored us.”
