Barker Brettell’s Christmas Celebration

This December Barker Brettell once again held its Christmas lunch for retired staff.  In what has become an annual tradition, long serving members of staff who are now enjoying retirement were invited to attend a festive celebration.  A three course meal was served, with a starter of melon and fruit coulis, followed by roast turkey with vegetables and a dessert of either Christmas pudding with homemade brandy sauce or white chocolate and raspberry brulee cheesecake.  The meal was then finished off with a cheese board and coffee.

Those attending included two former senior partners, Bill Stonehouse and Geoff Lomas, our previous head of the Patent Records department Derek Smith and many fondly remembered support staff from the secretarial, accounts and reception departments, as well as several retired attorneys.

It was a great success, with the retired staff appreciating the chance to catch up with old friends over good food. Many also took the opportunity to have a look around the Birmingham office, to see what had changed and the new faces that have become part of the Barker Brettell team since they left.
