Barker Brettell – supporting local entrepreneurs at the Library of Birmingham

Barker Brettell assisted the Library of Birmingham with Global Entrepreneurship Week 2014 – aimed at inspiring and realising business ideas.

In this regard, Lucy Trueman worked with The Business & Learning, Business and IP Centre at the Library of Birmingham with their involvement in this year’s Global Entrepreneurship Week and delivered a seminar concerning protection of intellectual property overseas to an audience of keen attendees.  Lucy, a patent attorney and partner at our Birmingham office, was pleased to talk to such an interested audience and address detailed questions from attendees already embarking on business opportunities and encountering intellectual property.

Barker Brettell also assists in the weekly Intellectual Property Clinic run by the Business & Learning, Business and IP Centre by providing patent and trade mark attorneys to advise clients of the Library of Birmingham on all aspects of intellectual property on a one-to-one basis.

John Lawrence, Senior Partner of Barker Brettell noted: “We enjoy working with the Business & Learning team and assisting with their goal of supporting entrepreneurs and innovators from inspiration to successfully launching and growing a business.  The Intellectual Property Advice Clinic and Global Entrepreneurship Week are an important part of the services offered to help achieve the goal.”

If you would like to invite a Barker Brettell attorney to give a talk or run advice sessions on intellectual property, please get in touch.
