Robin’s background in physics makes him well suited to deal with a wide range of technologies, including electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, materials, software and telecommunications.  He has developed particular expertise in the fields of experimental photonics/optics and semiconductor physics during his PhD and post-doctoral research experience. He also has drafting and prosecution experience in the fields of electronics, computer implemented inventions and mechanical engineering.


  • DPhil in Materials Science, resulting in three publications
  • Taking a client’s brief to prepare a patent application for a gas meter which he was heavily involved in delivering only a few months into his training
