Gideon is a patent attorney who specialises in drafting and prosecuting UK, European and overseas patent applications in a variety of complex biotechnological fields including immunology, cancer, molecular biology, biomarkers, genetics, gene therapy, diagnostics and vaccines.
He also works with clients in relation to freedom-to-operate, validity and infringement opinions; providing advice on patent portfolio management; and providing patentability assessments.”
Experience:
- Successfully challenged an allowed European patent application using third party observations
- Worked as a postdoctoral research associate in the field of arthritis and published a research paper relating to “IL-10-mediated inhibition of TNFα produced by T-cell-activated macrophages”
- Awarded an MRC/Pfizer case studentship for PhD research proposal
- Awarded a Herchel-Smith Scholarship by Queen Mary University for an MSc in the management of intellectual property
